The project of Promus Katowice Sp.z o.o. aimed to introduce automation to the material transport process in the manufacturing company. The main goal was to increase efficiency, reduce processing time, and minimize the risk of material damage.

Customer requirements

The next step after familiarizing ourselves with the goals set by the client was a detailed identification and analysis of their requirements. Based on this, we defined the following challenges that we had to meet.

Ensuring safety at the intersections of forklift and self-propelled vehicle routes was one of the main challenges.

The project required minimal space for system implementation, resulting in a solution that allowed forklifts to pass under high-storage racks.

The system had to be flexible and able to collaborate with both self-propelled and forklift vehicles, including pocket conveyors.

The necessity to store materials in the event of a failure of one of the vehicles was a crucial aspect of the project.

This solution increased control over the movement inside the building.

The vehicles were equipped with safety scanners to protect pedestrians and avoid collisions with obstacles.

To ensure uninterrupted operation of our vehicles, an inductive power system was utilized.
